Cajun Shrimp With Dirty Rice and Okra

For the Dirty Rice with Okra
- 1/2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 1/2 tbsp Butter
- 1/4 cup Yellow Onion
- 1/4 cup Celery, small chopped
- 1 cup White Rice, Long Grain
- 2 cup Water
- 1/2 cup Okra, cut
- 1/2 cup Red Bell Pepper, diced
- 2 tsp Cajun Seasoning, your favorite
For the Sea Cuisine Cajun Shrimp
- 1/4 cup Water
- 1 package Sea Cuisine Cajun Shrimp
- 2 tbsp Parsley, rough chopped, reserve 1 tbsp for garnish
- For the Dirty Rice with Okra: In a medium pot with a tight fitting cover, heat olive oil and butter until it foams and begins to brown. Add the celery and onion and cook, while stirring, for 2 minutes. Add the rice and cook for an additional minute until fragrant. Add the water, okra, red bell pepper and Cajun seasoning to the pot. Stir gently until it comes to a boil, cover and reduce the heat to medium-low. Cook for an additional 16 minutes then remove from the heat and allow to rest.
- Meanwhile, prepare the Cajun Shrimp per the package instructions and hold warm.
- Divide the dirty rice with Okra between two shallow bowls or deep plates. Top with Cajun Shrimp and then garnish with chopped parsley and enjoy!
