- salt and pepper, to taste
Tips from the chef: Get a little adventurous with your grain of choice and try something new! We totally love brown rice and quinoa, but there’s more to explore in the grain aisle of your grocery store! We suggest trying one of these interesting options instead: Bulgur (cracked wheat) – Similar in texture to couscous, this mighty grain is perfect to toss into soups or salads, or even as its own side dish, and boasts 25% of your daily value of protein (in 1 cup serving). Whole Barley – Did you know barley is considered one of the first cultivated grains in history? Aside from being super tasty with a unique pasta-like consistency, this grain contains 20% of your daily value of Magnesium, essential for brain health and supporting the nervous system. Freekeh – An Arabic, low-carb grain that packs FOUR times more fiber than regular brown rice (in 1 cup serving). It also works as a prebiotic in your stomach, stimulating growth of healthy bacteria to help digestion.
- Arrange an oven rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 400°F.
- Toss veggies in a bowl with oil, season with salt and pepper, and transfer to a large foil-lined sheet pan. Place frozen Pan Sear Teriyaki Sesame Wild Alaskan Salmon right on top, and bake in the oven for 18 to 20 minutes.
- While you’re waiting for that to cook, prepare rice according to the package instructions, and set aside.
- Remove pan from oven, drizzle with teriyaki sauce and sesame seeds, then place under broiler on low heat for a few minutes, until sesame seeds start to brown. Watch closely so the seeds do not burn!
- Spoon some rice into a serving bowl, top with your cooked sheet pan goodies and Wild Salmon, and dig in!
- For the best food quality and safety, cook fish to a minimum internal temperature of 155°F.
